28.10.2015

For Nexia BT, its workforce is its biggest asset.  With this in mind it leaves no stone unturned in investing to develop its human resources to ensure it remains at the forefront to offer clients optimal service through an energised, motivated and empowered employee team.

The Nexia BT Empowerment Seminar 2015 held recently at the Le Méridien St. Julian’s Hotel & Spa dealt specifically with such objectives. The event coincided with the recent awarding of the Advisory of the Year title to Nexia BT’s Advisory practice in the single firm category, won at the International Accounting Bulletin (IAB) awards 2015 held in London earlier in the month.

The seminar was opened by Nexia BT’s managing partner Brian Tonna who expressed his great satisfaction at the prestigious international award which honours the firm’s vision as well as Nexia BT’s workforce’s professional work and commitment and thanked all those present for their contribution in the achievement.  In his words, apart from serving to instil pride in Nexia BT’s work, the award reiterates his belief that Malta possesses remarkable talent that is capable of rising to any challenge, even on the international platform, and perform outstandingly to achieve excellent results which etch Malta’s name on the world map.  He also touched upon the firm’s work and initiatives in the past 12 months and went on to explain the plans for the coming year which will see the Nexia BT vision unfold further with new developments and initiatives.

Spread over a full day and including a scrumptious lunch, the event consisted of talks as well as interactive sessions where the group was split into different teams and tasked with specific objectives designed around the topics of the talks which centred Leaders Skills and Perceptions. The presentations were delivered by well-known local athlete Nathan Farrugia and Australian born trainer Robyn Joy Pratt. The hands-on sessions meanwhile provided particular scenarios where participants’ perceptions were challenged and the consideration of new approaches encouraged to arrive at the desired objectives.

The seminar came to a close with the presentation of long serving awards to a number of staff members.
